For about three years now, I’ve been talking my sisters’ and friends’ ears off about this tea party I’m supposedly going to have. Since 2012, every person who accompanies me to a thrift store has been subject to hearing me screech, “THIS CAKE STAND WOULD BE THE PERFECT CENTERPIECE FOR THE PARTY!!” before forking over three dollars at the register. One of my girlfriends even went so far as to buy me a tea set one Christmas.
At this point, it kinda goes without saying that even though I picked out classy English Queen hats for everyone, this dainty tea soirée probably ain’t gonna happen. But that’s what made stumbling upon Lady Camellia tea house just that more grand. Pastel macaroons, mismatched floral china and furniture right out of Alice in Wonderland.
